DSLAMīs
Since spring 06 the T-Com has built most customary cable splitter with so-called Outdoor DSLAM's. These are necessary to bring the VDSL in the household. The multi function cases provide for the distribution of the new transference technology and contain for this, among the rest, the new VDSL2 hardware (Linecards, splitter etc.). A DSLAM can serve nowadays up to 48 customers (port).
At the moment the ranges 16-25Mbit's and 25-50MBit's are available. Exactly fix towards the customer T-Com is not able to do and wants. The transference service and the distance to the DSLAM can considerably influence the transference rates.
